What God Taught Me Today
- "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power
of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first
and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is
revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, The righteous
shall live by faith." -- 2003 - Oct 30 -- read

Justice Roy Moore to South
Carolinians - "...Here is the issue: can the state
acknowledge God without violating the supposed wall of separation
between church and state? Can the State of Alabama acknowledge
God? Can South Carolina acknowledge God? Can the United States
of America acknowledge God?..." - 2003 - Oct 25 --

Their Children From Public Schools NOW -- "It is
with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I offer the following
appraisal of Rev. E. Ray Moore's new book, _Let My Children
Go_. I've spent the past week reading this excellent tool designed

DEAR SUPPORTERS OF THE 10 COMMANDMENTS AND OUR CHRISTIAN HERITAGE:
See Photo of SC 10 Commandments Tour Co-Chairman, E. Ray Moore,
Jr.
Chaplain(Lt.Col.) USAR Ret, in front of the SC State House on March
22.
In the background you will see the SC Supreme Court on left and
also the
Wilber Smith Bldg. The SC tour ran from March 21-27 and there were
6
locations or events. Special thanks goes to the following hosts
or
sponsors: Columbia International University-Ben Lippen School, Columbia;
Grace Baptist Church and Grace Christian School, West Columbia;
Faith
Christian
School and Faith Assembly of God, Summerville; and Community
Bible Church, Beaufort. Additional locations were SC State House,
Columbia
and Marion Square/Old Citadel, Charleston.
The SC tour was the last full week of an 8 month tour in 21 states
and
165 locations or events beginning July 30, 2004. The national tour
sponsor was American Veterans in Domestic Defense (www.avidd.org)
a Houston, TX based "God and Country" organization.
Thousands visited the 10 Commandments monument during the SC tour,
the same monument removed from the Alabama Judicial Center by order
of a Federal
Judge and belonging to former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. Coverage
in
the SC media was good in both the broadcast and print media. The
local TV
stations ran several interviews or stories, some 2 times in the
week. THE
STATE paper ran a front page story on March 23 and the Charleston
POST AND
COURIER had 3 articles during the week. Also, the BEAUFORT GAZETTE
had a
favorable article on March 26 in the "Faith and Values"
section. E. Ray
Moore, Jr. was a guest on the Andy Thomas Show and other Christian
and
secular stations ran stories or news reports. We estimate that appx
1/2
million SC citizens could have seen or heard one of the news casts
or news
stories. Also, the tour was able to promote Judge Roy Moore's new
book
entitled SO HELP ME GOD, which can be bought at any local Christian
bookstore or an autographed copy can be ordered on-line at the Foundation
for Moral Law (www.morallaw.org).
Dr. Henry S. Jordan, Tour co-Chairman said, " It is more important
for
the law of God to be written on the hearts and minds of people,
but the
display of the 10 Commandments and our historic Judeo-Christian
symbols
in the public square and the acknowledgement of God that these represent
are a necessary part of maintaining our religious and political
liberties." This tour was sponsored by a new Christian internet
newsletter published by E. Ray Moore, Jr. entitled www.gileadmedia.com.
Please check this out for Christian news, essays and sermons on
apologetics, social and policy issues and Christian worldview concerns.
Blessings.

ETHOS -- March 31, 2005 - Terri
Schiavo and the Culture of Death
Special Issue (II) -- An "Inconsistent" Ethic of Life.
As you know, I've been interacting with Jim Wallis in his recent
book God's Politics. In Part V, Chapter 18 (A Consistent Ethic
of Life) Wallis makes his points about abortion and capital
punishment. What he aims at-but really doesn't achieve-is a
consistency in ethics. I raise this point because it is at the
front of the Terri Schiavo case and her death today. -- read

Ethos - A New Vision for
Faith & Politics in America - PT1 -- I love my work.
I love what I get to do-and get paid for it-and I love the people
I get to interact with. I also love the challenges that present
themselves to me in my dealings in the church and in the culture.
It is a joy to be engaged and to engage others in this thing
we all call "culture wars." 2005, Mar 3 -- read

Ethos - A New Vision for
Faith & Politics in America - PT2 -- A Consistent Ethic
of Life Chapter 18 of Jim Wallis' book, God's Politics, that
we're discussing, deals with two "hot ticket" ethical
items: Abortion and Capital Punishment. This is as good a
place as any to start engaging our culture. In fact, in light
of our Supreme Court's recent decision on juveniles and the
death penalty, (Roper v. Simmons), this is a highly appropriate
place to begin. It is interesting that in their dissent, Justices
Scalia, Rehnquist, and Thomas -- 2005, Mar 17 -- read
